Waterlution - Challenge #3

We are up for the challenge!

What better way to connect with other water heroes than at the @NPCA_Ontario Conservation Awards? Central Public school was honoured to receive an award for the work we did with Yellow Fish Road. We thought it would be great to get #advicefromaconservationhero - what better place to uncover some history about our water and get some advice for our students to take action! Below you will find what is the start of advice to our grade 8 students from Conservation Heroes helping to protect our area watershed.

We hope to add to this as the year goes.

Waterlution - Défi #2

For this challenge, students were tasked with discovering how water has changed in our community over time. Students chose the challenge based on their interests, did some research and presented their findings in creative ways. We decided to do this en français to work on our French language writing and communication skills.

What a great way to learn about water in our community and how it has changed over time. This research opportunity has provided students with a more in depth look at water in their community. They were invested prior to this challenge and I think that they have a greater appreciation for the water around them after having completed this challenge.
